According to statistics issued by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, more than 4,834 people visited the center last December, which is the highest monthly turnout ever recorded.

The Acting Director of Religious Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Rayes, stressed the importance of the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center, which represents one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Bahrain.

He pointed out that “the center annually attracts many delegations and visitors from all over the world, as it is the largest mosque in Bahrain with its wonderful Islamic artistic style.”

Apart from the senior officials of the delegations, thousands of tourists who arrived in Bahrain during the marine tourism season last year visited the Islamic monuments in Manama.

In the meantime, the head of the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center, Nawaf Rashid, announced that 478 students had joined the Department of Qur’an Sciences last year, in which 24 teachers worked.
