Taqyeem to conduct 88 field visits to improve quality of government services

Manama, February 24 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister issued Resolution No. (6) of 2022 re-forming the Evaluation Committee of the Government Services Center (Taqeem) with the aim of increasing the efficiency of government services through competitiveness and innovation, and contributing In the government’s efforts to adopt the best practices of administrative and electronic service.

Evaluation represents the institutional framework within which performance measures are defined and applied. She has made several field visits recently, as part of a large-scale plan to visit 88 government service centers of 18 participating government offices.

These field visits will be conducted by a neutral government entity to facilitate an objective assessment of the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of government services.

The evaluation process will also include mystery shoppers who will rate the citizens’ experience, in light of the government’s keen interest in providing high-quality services to all.

Dr. Raed bin Shams, Director General of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) and Vice Chairman of the Taqeem Board of Directors, said that achieving a high degree contributes to the nomination of a particular center for the gold category, after demonstrating the quality, speed and efficiency of its services.

For her part, Ijlal Bubshait, head of the evaluation team, stressed the importance of further improving the mechanisms through which government services are provided. She added that there has been clear progress in the government’s performance since the evaluation process was launched in 2018, thanks to the keenness of service centers to provide the best possible services.
