The team primarily responsible for the business growth of the existing selling partners in Souq.com using different projects and programmes.
The team leader will be responsible for leading programs and setting operations within their team and will be the primary advocate for their category, broadening selection, and assisting in defining, shaping and implementing long-term strategic initiatives. They will work with various stakeholders and teams across the Amazon organization both locally and internationally. In addition, you will lead a team of account managers who work directly with Selling Partners and on projects to generally improve the existing Selling Partner experience. You will be expected to make improvements in the business development conversations in a scalable, self-service format. In addition to analyzing complex data to identify growth opportunities, train and develop your team to help them succeed, and work with their peers to devise scalable solutions. You will need to have excellent software development and management skills, dynamically prioritizing and managing resources. He/she will be extremely customer obsessed, and powerful at performing a deep dive to derive analytical insights about seller behavior, thus improving seller engagement leading to seller success on Amazon. The ideal candidate should possess analytical, programmatic management, people management, communication and innovation skills. The main responsibilities include:
Manage and develop a team of account managers to achieve financial targets for sales and program approval.
Leading business development and sales talks with sales partners
Identify key business opportunities for your categories by identifying popular brands, trends and pricing to ensure portfolio is managed toward a growth plan
Identify opportunities to improve market business of all vendor partners through scalable solutions and manage deployment of these solutions, including resolving barriers and issues raised through vendor and team voices.
Share learning with global peers (Middle East, EU, US and Asia teams) to drive best practices and identify new opportunities
Defining ambitious plans and following them up until tangible results are reached
Solve complex problems using structured thinking and data-driven insight
Diving deep to understand the root cause of team performance and actions needed to accelerate growth.
Track and report business development results, analyze data, interpret reports and information, and publish recommendations and action plans for selling partner management and staffing team.
Training and development of individuals within the team, ensuring their long-term success
Basic qualifications
Extensive professional experience (5-7 years), ideally in a complex and dynamic environment in e-commerce, technology, FMCG, retail or senior management consulting
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Data Science, Engineering or related degree required
Demonstrate analytical ability throughout professional experience
· Excellent Arabic and English written and verbal communication style Great executive
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve extended goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
Take initiative and work with a high degree of independence
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
qualifications preferred
Master’s degree preferred
Previous experience and track record in account management, product marketing or management consulting roles
E-commerce and retail experience preferred.
Knowledge of advanced Excel, SQL, sales, and productivity tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence and Salesforce is an added advantage
