Youth Minister praises youth’s patriotic role; announces launch of ‘Ambassadors of Bahraini Youth’ programme

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Al-Tawfiqi, praised the Kingdom’s celebration of Bahrain Youth Day.


She congratulated the Bahraini youth on this occasion, in appreciation of their national giving and efforts, in their belief in their pivotal role in promoting the Kingdom’s progress and glory, and ensuring a better future for it.


She indicated that Bahrain Youth Day provides an opportunity to highlight the outstanding achievements made by young people at all levels to highlight the pioneering youth model in the Kingdom, as well as an opportunity to focus on inspiring young entrepreneurs who presented themselves as role models for others to follow.


She affirmed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s constant interest in the Bahraini youth, citing His Majesty’s numerous meetings with them and his assertion in his speeches that they are the kingdom’s inexhaustible wealth, which contributes to motivating them to play their national role to the fullest.


She affirmed that the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attaches great importance to Bahraini youth among its priorities, noting the government’s keenness to harness all its capabilities for them to enable them to achieve this. They bear their responsibilities in building the country.


She pointed out the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for humanitarian work and youth affairs for the youth sector, and his firm interest in meeting the needs of young people and turning the challenges they face into starting points for construction. The better future has made the Bahraini youth more determined to contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s status and increasing its achievements.

The minister also praised the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his continuous interest in Bahraini youth and his keenness on youth development. competencies.


Rawan Tawfiqi affirmed the keenness of the Ministry of Youth Affairs to continue implementing its youth-oriented policies and programs in cooperation with relevant government agencies to build a generation of creative and innovative youth who are capable of initiative and active participation in decision-making to serve the Kingdom.


The Minister announced the launch of the Bahraini Youth Ambassadors Program.


Aspirants must submit a 15-second film justifying why they believe the Ministry of Youth Affairs should select them as ambassadors for Bahraini youth in overseas gatherings.


A specialized team selects those who meet specific criteria and requirements, and the winners represent the Kingdom in one of the official meetings abroad alongside the Minister of Youth Affairs.
