• To manage and develop the Bahrain operations function including overall management and health and safety monitoring within the yard, debt management and account settlements, and the processing, processing and maintenance of equipment for rental and sale. Transportation and provision of facilities and services to Bahrain Business Company.
• Maintain ultimate awareness and proactive personal responsibility for implementing RMDK’s plans, policies and procedures to ensure quality, health and safety.
• Manage and coordinate the fleet and inventory.
• Monitor fleet and inventory and complete stock checks as required.
• Maintaining operating standards within the branch jointly with the General Manager of Bahrain and the General Manager of the Division.
• Coordinating, jointly with the Bahrain Credit Controller, debt management and account settlements for the Bahrain Business Company.
• Maintenance and security of facilities.
• Equipment maintenance.
• Arrangements for transportation and distribution.
• Manage operations and monthly reports in terms of property management, health and safety, hourly paid activities, security and facilities.
• Recruit, train, motivate, train and discipline business supervisory staff and all contracted hourly employees.
• Resolve disputes for all operational matters.
• Negotiate all matters relating to hourly wages, eg incentive payment scheme, industrial relations matters within the Bahrain facility.
• Implement safe work practices within the meaning of current legislation and in accordance with internal best practice guidelines to ensure that the highest possible standards are achieved and/or maintained.
• Initiate business planning improvements, new facilities or equipment, and new ways of working.
• Effective recruitment, health and safety of work staff and hourly workers.
• Ensure achievement of branch objectives in all internal/external audits
• The quality, quantity and consistency of the repairs and renovations being carried out in the area.
• Staff training, motivation/on-the-job training and mentoring to develop an effective team.
• To minimize variable staffing costs for overtime in conjunction with appropriate operating and management heads.
• In conjunction with the appropriate Heads of Operations and Management, identify the training needs of operational staff and provide opportunity for all staff to expand their skills and allow for effective delegation.
• Part of this development is to increase the general commercial awareness of the branch staff and to ensure continuous improvement at the branch level.
• Prepares and delivers orders & returns operations within reasonably time constraints requested by the sales team.
• Monitoring, forecasting and reporting on fleet, inventory and/or quality levels to support the business.
• Prepare monthly reports on progress, quality of performance and quantity of work by the operations team.
• Monitoring and reporting on activity levels and suggesting improvements to the operations function &/or to the facility to enhance operational efficiency.
• Be aware of and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
