Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA) Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Issam bin Abdullah Khalaf received Hamad Ibrahim Bado, one of the three winners of the government innovation competition “Fikra” in its fourth edition.
The Minister praised the keenness and interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in encouraging energies and promoting creativity and innovation in government work to achieve the desired aspirations.
Minister Khalaf was briefed on Badu’s “Green by Gray” winning idea, which aims to take advantage of gray water reuse in creating green spaces in residential areas, thus improving air quality, reducing water consumption, and relieving pressure on sewage networks and stations.
He valued the idea and stressed the continuation of supporting and encouraging Bahraini youth with distinguished ideas, plans and proposals.
The minister stressed that the ministry will take into consideration the details of the contestant’s idea to benefit from it in line with the ministry’s plans and programs that serve the same purpose, praising the efforts of the great winner and his proposal in the field of environment.
He congratulated all the winners of Idea, and praised the quality of innovative ideas in various fields.
Baddou expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the support that motivates more efforts and dedication in giving for the development of the country.
