Woman is active partner in Bahrain’s development, Finance and National Economy Minister

Manama, November 30 (BNA): The percentage of women occupying key positions in the Ministry of Finance and National Economy has reached 50 percent. They also hold up to 40% of leadership and supervisory positions.

Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa revealed the figures on the eve of Bahraini Women’s Day, which is celebrated annually on December 1.

He highlighted the pivotal role of Bahraini women and their effective contributions in all development sectors, especially His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He praised the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for adopting programs and policies that support the advancement of women.

He congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which this year marks the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the Council. He praised the efforts of the Council and its role in enhancing the status of women and involving them as an active partner in national development.
