Situation Summary

Responsible for all shipping related functions to include assistance in managing distribution center loading crews. Works with the lead person and supervisor to ensure accurate and timely loading of outgoing product as well as timely unloading of incoming product. Assists in monitoring reports to ensure that the desired product is here or notify the right person if the product is not here

a day in the life of

Manage paper flow in the shipping window to include checking orders before signing the bill of lading.
Manage customer service needs and correspondence that apply to loads.
Run pickup slips and organize paperwork for the next shift for a seamless transition between shifts.
Manage dock doors to take advantage of loading sites and reduce idle time.
Responsible for bill of lading, check slips, potential out of stock, inventory and all other reports necessary for the proper operation of the freight office.
Work with relocation group and supervisor to ensure that the entire office is operating as efficiently as possible.
Work with the person in charge to maintain the productivity of the loading crews.
Managing the work of forklift drivers and keeping them productive; And also, directing the main person and the driver of the hair.
– Make the necessary maintenance and external calls when needed.
– Keep line pullers occupied and monitor easy loads that can be loaded.
– Capture loads loaded off-line.
Coordinate and manage daily docking schedule on PC and complete any other documents as required.
Record all pallet totals in and out of the warehouse.
Make special notes on loads as needed.
Complies with all Nestlé and factory policies.
Performs all job duties in a safe manner, while performing in a team environment and adhering to all safety rules and policies.

What will make you successful?

3 to 5 years previous work experience.
Effective oral and written communication.
Able to use computer systems in support of distribution operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
