Goals:

The main purpose of this position is to actively contribute to the successful achievement of restaurants’ goals of high quality customer service. To provide superior customer service. To ensure that facilities are maintained to required standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with team members in the restaurant in order to maximize sales and guest satisfaction and to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and act on selling opportunities to improve average sales
• Actively use sales tactics to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue
• Receive guest requests and recommend food and beverage items, and special promotions if available
• Accurately and efficiently process the required items in the restaurant registration system
• Learn about special dishes and drinks in the season menu and provide assistance by giving information about products
• Ensure continuous service management during the meal
• Prepare checks detailing and total meal costs
• Ensure minimal waste and corruption
• Follows correct service procedures and conducts efficient and courteous service to guests
• Greet and communicate the restaurant’s philosophy and products effectively to guests
• Present menus to patrons, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations upon request
• Be familiar with the menu and explain how the various menu items are prepared, describe ingredients and cooking methods
• Starting the conversation to understand the guest’s needs and requirements
• Assist guests with any queries they may have about food or drinks
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and bar staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
• Share information with guests about the status of their orders
• Constantly monitor the table to gauge the need to refill it immediately throughout the meal
• Find out if guests need additional items
• Verify that guests are satisfied with their orders
• Process sales and payments on the system efficiently and accurately and close transactions gently
• Request the appropriate guest details to be entered into the guest database required to send brand promotions
• Maintain knowledge of specialty, high and low selling dishes and drinks
• Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and service equipment
• Attends daily service briefing
• Writing guest food requests on order vouchers, keeping orders, or entering orders into computers for transmission to kitchen staff
