Voluntary Work Award winners honoured

Manama, September 15 (BNA) Today, the winners of the twelfth session of the His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work were honored.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Kuwaiti Prime Minister’s Diwan Adviser Dr. Basel Hammoud Al-Sabah and Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Nevin Neven Al-Kabbagh.

The event was also attended by Minister of Labor Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyed, Minister of Social Development Osama bin Ahmed Al-Asfour and other officials.

His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Honorary President of the Good Word Society, delivered a salute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting that the award reflects the royal directives.

He praised the national efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting the values ​​of volunteer work.

He extended a salute of appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, recalling his support for volunteer and humanitarian work, and his roles and positions in Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic world.

This year’s session, organized by the Good Word Society in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Voluntary Work, honored Arab Pioneers, in recognition of their efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa also expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for attending the closing ceremony.

He also thanked the members of the Good Word Society and the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, praising their dedicated efforts in serving the Arab volunteer and humanitarian work.

During the ceremony, eighteen pioneers of the Arab elite, including Dr. Sheikh Basil Hammoud Al-Sabah, Dr. Al-Kabbaj, and former Omani Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Saidi were honored in recognition of their role during the outbreak of the epidemic.

The Abdul Rahim Al Kooheji Charitable Foundation also received the His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work for its role in promoting charitable and voluntary work.

The ceremony included sponsors of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work. This group includes the GFH Group, Saudi Telecom Bahrain, GPIC, in addition to Al-Bilad and Al-Ayyam newspapers.
