what are you going to do

At Chalhoub, creativity comes alive! As a visual merchandiser, you will be responsible for organizing and deploying high quality visual marketing strategies across stores. Our visual merchandiser is also responsible for training the store-based virtual machines, as well as ensuring standards consistency.

Implement high-quality visual merchandising strategy and presentations through seasonal events calendar and brand guidelines
Train and build strong relationships with the VM teams in the store (if applicable) and the front line team, so they can help maintain the supply
Measure the impact of promotion action plans and issue a weekly report to the regional team/VM manager (if applicable) with photos, feedback and sales impact measurements
Follow and implement the VM Seasonal Brand Guidelines
– Help set up the in-store VM team and invite them to attend brand training events and workshops
Work closely with the Marketing Department to provide support in all phases of managing internal brand events
– Directing window installation and in-store animation and designing events and campaigns in line with global marketing calendars and events
Conduct regular visits to the store and market to verify adherence to brand standards and report to the regional team/VM manager (if applicable)
– Stay up-to-date with the activities of the brand and the activities of external competitors
– Define in-store implementation for all launches/animations
Work closely with the graphic design team to produce visuals
– Order POS tools from brand headquarters and/or produce them locally
– Review the proposed promotion plan associated with the launches and provide input
Inform stores of marketing instructions and follow up installation
Ensure that in-store marketing levels are met as per brand guidelines
– Keep track of bands and categories performance, and adjust promotion if needed
– Suggest any commercial modifications that allow maximizing the sales volume by square metres
Managing the marketing of new projects in coordination with the marketing team (request and implementation)
– Applying the new store concept whenever needed
Working on plans to open new stores
– Work on floor plans and division of new stores
– Select and order shop merchandising items and small furniture/decor
Work in coordination with logistics to ensure PLV Furniture is dispatched
– Set a marketing threshold for all new launches
Communicate with the Retail Manager in case of out of stock
Communicate with the Retail Manager regarding the impact of the new trade on sales
