Paris, Oct. 2 (US): Victoria Beckham celebrated her first appearance on the Paris Fashion Week calendar with a chic catwalk collection, attracting photographers and celebrities including her family, along with the fashion lineup.
London-based Beckham said in a video posted to Instagram, she shows her husband, football legend David Beckham and children, including Harper Seven Beckham and Romeo Beckham, walking behind her to her ahead of Friday’s show. Her son Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham also attended.
The designer emphasized the high side of her brand, with elegant dresses and suits, mixing pastel pastels with all black ensembles, and adding a silk fringe, with supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid on the show.
After the runway show, held in the arched aisle of the historic Val de Grace Abbey in central Paris, Beckham wiped her tears as she took her bow, stopping to hug Eva Longoria, who sat in the front row.
Among the world’s major fashion capitals, Paris has emerged from the strongest of the pandemic, assembled with new places to serve the industry, as well as massive investments in flagship stores and high-end hotels from the luxury collections located here.
The final part of Paris Fashion Week runs until October 4, and features big names like Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent, and tops a month of shows also taking place in New York, London and Milan.
