US granted official partner status in Bahrain Global “Sea-to-Air” Hub

Washington, March 4 (BNA) During the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the United States, Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani held a meeting with Don Greaves, US Deputy Secretary of State. Trade, which was attended by a number of senior officials from both sides.


The minister emphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States share a long history of cooperation, which has developed through agreements, memoranda and mutual visits.


It was announced during the meeting that the United States had been granted the status of an official partner in the Bahrain International Center for Bahrain.


The minister stressed that this new point of cooperation reflects the common interest in the further development of bilateral relations. He explained that the official partner status grants the beneficiary countries a set of privileges.


Al-Zayani also highlighted the establishment of the US Trade Zone (USTZ) in Bahrain recently, in the Salman Industrial City, as evidence of the strong economic relations between the two countries that play an important role in achieving the goals of the industrial sector. The strategy (2022-2026) is part of the economic recovery plan.


A number of issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting.
