UoB President receives Japanese ambassador

Manama, June 14 (BNA) The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhaki, received at the university’s headquarters in Sakhir, the Japanese ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Miyamoto Masayuki, who donated the university’s headquarters. A number of books and scientific resources for university libraries.

Dr. Al-Mudhaki praised the initiative of the Japanese Embassy to donate books to the university to enrich its libraries with the latest literary and intellectual productions and to provide students, academics and researchers with various academic references and resources.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador affirmed his keenness to strengthen relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan, especially in the academic and cultural fields. He stressed the importance of knowledge in promoting intercultural communication, noting that similar cultural initiatives will be present on all occasions.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, and the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Abdulaziz Muhammad Bolila.
