Manama, October 20 (BNA) The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Madhaki, received today Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and the University’s Board of Directors. Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
During the meeting, which was held at the University of Bahrain campus in Sakhir, the two sides discussed academic cooperation, scientific research and the future of higher education. Dr. Al-Mudhaki praised the Council’s role and efforts in raising the level of higher education, improving academic outcomes and encouraging investment.
Dr. Sheikha Rana highlighted the steps taken by public and private higher education to enhance the academic level of students and bridge the gap between education and the labor market. The meeting was attended by the President of the University of Bahrain for Information Technology Services and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Sheikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Communications Officer for the Higher Elections Committee, Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and the Program Coordinator, Eman Salem Abdullah.
