Manama, March 25 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Competition for online Quran recitation (globally). reader) on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.


This came during the meeting held by the Supervising Committee of the Global Competition, chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Islamic Affairs and Justice, Judge Issa Sami Al-Mannai.


The committee praised the royal sponsorship of the competition, praising the interest of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in serving the Holy Qur’an and promoting its teachings and values ​​across the various segments of society. The committee also praised the support of the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and the continuous follow-up of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda. .


The committee was briefed on the efforts made by the Department of Holy Quran Affairs to prepare well for the fourth session of the international competition.


He also welcomed the support provided by the authority to cover the prizes for the competition winners, praising the interest of the Ministry of Information in promoting the global competition. It also commended the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA) for setting up an electronic competition system.

The committee approved the timetable for the competition, and the participation of girls in two categories, “Qari Al-Hafiz” and “Qari Al-Jaghir”, to pave the way for them to compete with males.


The competition aims to serve the Holy Quran by encouraging young people to recite it.


It also aims to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in sponsoring the Holy Quran at the global level, and to promote its distinguished initiatives in the field of e-government.


The competition is divided into four categories, including: “The Good Continental,” “The Young Qarari,” and “The Little Continental.” The reader) and the memorizer reader.
