Washington, Dec. 20 (BNA) The US Navy on Monday awarded a five-year, $723.9 million enterprise software license contract to Amazon.com Inc.’s cloud computing division.

The deal will provide the Navy with access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) commercial cloud environment, professional services, and its training and certification courses.

Earlier this month, the Pentagon awarded $9 billion in cloud computing contracts to Alphabet, Google, AWS, Microsoft Corp, and Oracle Corp as part of the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract, Reuters reports.
