Two restaurants closed for flouting mandatory health protocols

Manama, December 24 (BNA) The Ministry of Housing announced the closure of two restaurants in the Northern Governorate for violating the mandatory precautionary measures of the yellow alert level.

The visits that took place yesterday to 316 restaurants and cafes across the Northern Governorate, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Bahrain Exhibition and Tourism Authority (BTEA), found that 25 of them were in violation of the law. The same health protocols adopted to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, and legal measures were taken accordingly.

During the inspections, the inspectors also found that seven men’s salons were in violation of the required health protocols, and took legal action against them.

The Ministry of Health called on everyone to continue to adhere to the precautionary measures, and to immediately report any violations or abuses, noting that the inspection campaigns aim to protect public health and limit the spread of the epidemic.
