Turkish Ambassador visits Danat Institute

Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): The Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain, Esen Çakil, visited the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gems (Danat).

The CEO of Danat Nora Jamsheer and the ambassador discussed the exchange of experiences between the Kingdom and Turkey in the field of pearls, precious stones and jewelry.

They also discussed capacity building in this vital field, which is an important factor in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries.

Jamsheer gave the Turkish ambassador a comprehensive presentation on the efforts made by Danat within the national plan to revive the pearl sector in Bahrain.

It highlighted Danat’s role in enhancing confidence in the pearl trade locally, regionally and internationally, and enhancing the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading center in the field of pearls and precious stones.

The CEO of Danat pointed to the success of “Danat” in placing the Kingdom in an advanced position internationally, and strengthening the Kingdom’s reputation as a leading center in the field of pearls and precious stones, making it a window on global markets to serve local and international customers.

The ambassador toured the institute, where she was briefed on the services provided by the Danat Laboratory in the field of examining pearls and precious stones and granting it internationally accredited certificates on the latest advanced international devices.

She praised the competencies of local and international experts who contributed to the transformation of Danat into the best laboratory of its kind in the world.
