Our primary business is due diligence, evaluating the target company’s financial resources and business prospects, identifying and reporting opportunities, risks, sensitivities, and potential mitigations to our clients, their banks, investors and other parties.

the opportunity

You will work in teams with experienced due diligence professionals, where you will learn and develop the skills you need to perform due diligence in a range of situations and sectors. There is an opportunity and potential to travel within the MENA region. When working on projects, you will almost always work as part of a broader service line team.

Your main responsibilities

As an Executive within the Transactional Diligence team, you will engage in due diligence on transactions involving groups of private equity investors and strategic corporate buyers.
You will analyze the financial and operating results of the companies targeted for sale by reviewing accounting records and participating in interviews with management.
You will function effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.

Success skills and attributes

Individuals with strong analytical skills will thrive in this environment where you will regularly assist in researching technical accounting issues to assess implications for valuing and structuring transactions and prepare analyzes of financial information to assess trends and volatility.
Good communication skills will also be a key trait to success in this role as you will be required to assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and to develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with previous exposure to due diligence.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Able to analyze financial and non-financial information to formulate opinions and conclusions.
– Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
– Proficiency in spoken and written English

Ideally, you will also have

– Transactional experience/review
– Customer facing experience from a professional services background
– Proficiency in the Arabic language
