Manama, October 10 (BNA) The Director General of Traffic, Brigadier General Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, confirmed that the legal procedures for traffic violations, including exceeding speed limits, have been the same since the adoption of the new traffic law in Manama. The Director-General explained that setting speed limits on the roads is based on several criteria, foremost of which is the protection of life and traffic safety. Other factors include road layout, number of lanes, and distance between intersections, so it is important to maintain the speed limit by following speed limit signs.

He called on drivers to follow the speed limits and the law, explaining that adhering to traffic rules contributed to reducing traffic injuries and deaths by 60% until 2020, despite the increase in the number of vehicles, traffic jams and new urban projects. .
