Towns and Villages Development Project on track

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, visited houses within the Cities and Villages Development Project in Muharraq Governorate.


The minister was accompanied by the Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of Muharraq Municipality Council Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Nar, Municipal Councilor Dalal Al-Makhawi and a number of officials.


Al-Mubarak said, in a statement, that more than 156 applications were processed in 2022 within the Cities and Villages Development Project, indicating that new applications are under study for this year.


He pointed out that the ministry seeks to increase the speed of completion to serve the largest number of Bahraini families in all governorates, as work is underway to define priorities and an action plan for the years 2023 and 2024.


He praised the cooperation of the municipal councils in implementing the Cities and Villages Development Project, noting that there is a team of specialized engineers supervising the project.
