Tourism Minister receives BTECH Chairman

Manama, May 16 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi received Tariq Fakhro, Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Association.

Al-Serafi highlighted the ministry’s commitment to supporting various activities aimed at stimulating business tourism as a fundamental pillar of Bahrain’s tourism strategy 2022-2026.

She affirmed the efforts of the Ministry and BTEA in promoting various aspects of the tourism industry and diversifying it to make it more attractive to local and foreign investments.

She also stressed the importance of boosting business tourism growth rates in Bahrain and increasing its contribution to the country’s economic development.

The meeting discussed the role of BTECH in supporting technology-related business development and entrepreneurship promotion.

The two sides reviewed cooperation in organizing high-quality specialized events to support common projects and goals aimed at bringing about a significant improvement in the level of services and products offered in the tourism sector.

The minister praised the great efforts made by BTECH, especially in the field of information and communication technology, and its strategic plans that focus on developing the capabilities of entrepreneurs in the technology sector.

These efforts aim to provide innovative solutions that help facilitate the provision of services and create a suitable environment for technology companies in Bahrain to access global markets.

Fakhro emphasized the efforts of the Ministry and the Bahrain Tourism Authority in developing the tourism sector in Bahrain.

He said that these efforts will have a positive impact on the national economy as a whole and create more job opportunities.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors expressed KFH’s readiness to enhance cooperation with the Ministry to promote tourism and e-commerce trade growth and stimulate investment in Bahrain.
