Tourism Minister meets PM fellows

Manama, August 14 (BNA) Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sirafi held a meeting with colleagues of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program.


Minister Al-Serafy highlighted the importance of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program in qualifying young Bahraini competencies working in the public sector to ensure their contribution to the comprehensive development of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman. She noted the colleagues’ dedication and commitment to hone their leadership skills, which will help enhance their professional potential within a government framework, in line with Bahrain Vision 2030 and the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026.


Al-Serafy then gave a presentation on the ministry’s role and efforts in achieving the objectives of the tourism strategy 2022-2026.


The minister presented major infrastructure projects, including the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, as well as the coastal developments of Galali and Diving.


She briefed colleagues on the many programs and events organized by the ministry in partnership with other agencies, including the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and the private sector, in promoting the tourism sector at the regional and international levels.


Members of the seventh batch of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program expressed their appreciation for the minister’s support and encouragement, and noted the role of the tourism sector in supporting the Kingdom’s national development.
