‘This Is Bahrain’ marks Bahrain’s national days

Manama, Dec. 23 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the “This is Bahrain” association held its annual festival at the Bahrain National Stadium on the occasion of the Kingdom’s national holidays.

The celebration was attended by the Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, and embassies and representatives of foreign communities, clubs, schools and civil society organizations participated in it.

The event comes as part of the participation of the “This is Bahrain” association in Bahrain’s celebrations of its national days. It gave the participants the opportunity to express their joy on this national occasion.

The Minister of Social Development affirmed that the royal sponsorship of the event confirms His Majesty the King’s paternal support for human and cultural diversity in the Kingdom, which reflects Bahrain’s solid position as a land of peace and tolerance.

He affirmed that the Kingdom has always been and still is a role model in social openness and freedom of thought and belief, noting that His Majesty King Hamad has promoted the concept of peaceful coexistence, out of His Majesty’s strong belief in that. necessary for the progress of societies.

Minister Al-Asfoor pointed out that the expatriate communities’ celebration of the Kingdom’s national holidays is living evidence of the prevailing spirit of solidarity and tolerance, stressing Bahrain’s position as a diverse country keen to support rapprochement and dialogue between civilizations, religions and sects.

He praised the continuous efforts made by the expatriate communities to highlight the positive image of the Kingdom as a land of peace and love, praising their contribution to the Kingdom’s progressive march.

He emphasized that the celebration reflects the expatriate communities’ love for Bahrain, king, government and people.
