Manama, December 11 (BNA) The Ministry of Health announced the discovery of a case of the omicron variant in the Kingdom of Bahrain for an individual coming from abroad.
The ministry indicated that all mitigation protocols and necessary precautions were taken, including isolation and precautionary quarantine for the active case.
The ministry indicated that the case did not have any local contact and was isolated upon its arrival.
In line with the directives of the Council of Ministers and the Executive Committee of the Government, the Ministry affirmed that it will continue to monitor the global situation and take all necessary measures to protect public health.
The Ministry of Health stressed the importance of adhering to all precautionary health measures issued by the National Medical Task Force to combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and urged everyone to get vaccinated and get a booster dose.
