Manama, October 17 (BNA) His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, chaired the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet continued to implement the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister regarding the new set of labor market reforms that will replace flexible permits. In this regard, the Cabinet approved a draft resolution issued by the Minister of Interior that includes several organizational measures to implement His Highness’ directives.
The Cabinet affirmed the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the support of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin. Abdulaziz Al Saud, in promoting global economic stability, and its role as a fundamental pillar of regional and international security and stability.
The Cabinet also noted the role of Saudi Arabia as a global political and economic leader. In this regard, the Cabinet praised the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the opening of the third year of the eighth session of the Saudi Shura Council. The speech reviewed the future development plans of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts to maintain global economic stability and enhance its leading role as a peace broker.
During the meeting, the Council of Ministers discussed several memoranda with the following results:
Agree to the following notes:
1. A memorandum by the Minister of Transport and Communications regarding the approval of the Kingdom of Bahrain to assume the presidency of the Council of the Digital Cooperation Organization in the next session of the organization for a period of one year.
2. A memorandum by the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture regarding the ownership of real estate for public use to provide the necessary space for urban development.
Then the Council of Ministers reviewed the ministerial reports regarding the Kingdom’s participation in the following events:
The third session of the Rakaez Conference under the slogan “Sustainable Education is the Future”
Sixth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)
2022 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG)
Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-22)
Sixty-ninth session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean
The Cabinet also reviewed the results of the following meetings and visits:
The official visit of the Minister of Legal Affairs to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The meeting of the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs with the Minister of Justice and President of the Supreme Judicial Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
