The Crown Prince Center for Training and Medical Research conducts first Bahrain International Wound Conference

Manama, September 12 (BNA) Under the patronage of the Commander of the Royal Medical Services, Major General Professor Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince Medical Training and Research Center is organizing the first Bahrain International Wound Conference in the city of Manama. Dec.


The center is partnering with the British organization Wound International to organize the conference for the first time in the Middle East.

The center will host the conference from 1-4 December with the participation of trauma consultants and specialists from Bahrain, Europe and the United States.


Head of the Burns Unit at the Royal Medical Services and Chairman of the Organizing Committee Colonel Dr. Nayef Abdul Rahman Laurie said the conference will cover trauma care from the emergency room to home care.


He added that the conference will include classification of wound infections, diabetic foot wounds, treatment of ulcer injuries, burn injuries, wound cleaning, treatment of lymphatic obstruction in the foot, mental health care, and physical therapy.


The conference will include scientific lectures for each specialty, followed by training and applied workshops aimed at providing training to participants on the latest techniques of medical simulation and live laboratories.


Targeted at physicians, specialists, nurses and medical students, the conference will provide enhanced skills and expertise for all levels of the medical sector.


The Colonel praised the efforts of the Commander of the Royal Medical Services, which enabled the center to lead the medical training sector in the Kingdom, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East.
