Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): Thai Mart Bahrain will host an event for two months as a celebration for the Thai people in Bahrain.
The event features authentic Thai cuisine, food and produce in a night market style and allows visitors to experience some of Thailand’s favorite features.
The manager of the Thai Mart Restaurant, Rajab Abdulwajid, expressed his happiness at the success of this event and welcomed the interest of a large number of people from different backgrounds in celebrating diversity and coexistence, which are two trademarks of the Bahraini society.
“This event started on December 1 and will continue until January 28, with about 25 companies selling all kinds of things,” he told the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Tin, a Thai shampoo seller, said the event is a great celebration of Thai culture in the kingdom.
She said, “I came here to attend this event with my family on the recommendation of my aunt who told me it would be a great opportunity for me to work and mingle with people who share the same culture as me.”
In addition to the food stalls, the market has an outdoor cinema measuring 12 x 5.5 metres.
Activities at the Grande Theater feature cooking shows, Thai heritage and other amazing Asian heritage. Theater is also an opportunity for the audience to showcase their talents.
The event aims to transport people to Thailand where the night market is very famous and a favorite destination for visitors and locals.
