Your role and responsibilities

As a member of the AIX Technical Team, job responsibilities include demonstrating exceptional communication skills (oral and written) to IBM clients, other IBM employees, IBM management, timely updates to client situations, ability to effectively manage multiple complex situations, and deep technical product knowledge.

The person assigned to this position will work within the AIX technical team in Egypt

Technical and professional experience required

– At least 1 year of experience working in customer support
Language skills: Fluency in English. written and oral
Technical skills: Basic knowledge of operating systems (UNIX and Linux).
– Bachelor degree; Computer science or software engineering is preferred
– Willing to work while changing the US time zone.

An individual interested in this role should have the desire to become a worldwide technical expert in one or more components with leading edge, open source, cloud, and virtualization technologies and frameworks while becoming an effective communication channel between IBM customers and IBM management.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Language Skills

Fluency in French, German, Italian or Spanish.

– C and UNIX / Linux shell scripting;
– AIX operating system; AIX (or UNIX/Linux) networks, file systems, security and management;
Working knowledge of co-management and debugging tools.
Additional consideration of existing knowledge of IP (IP) security;
Additional consideration for current knowledge of IBM support tools and processes
