Oracle is actively seeking an experienced Support Engineer to join our Applications Unlimited Cloud Services team. This team manages and supports the complex, scalable, high-performance deployments of OMCS Unlimited Applications clients that have PaaS and IaaS services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position requires prior experience with migration, implementation, upgrade and troubleshooting skills in a customer facing revenue generating environment.

As a Principal Support Engineer, you will provide strategic technical support to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The primary focus is on working to migrate, implement, and upgrade projects that cover Oracle E-Business Suite or third-party applications to OCI. You must be able to create/use automated technology and hardware for these migrations as well as proactively diagnose, document, resolve and avoid customer issues. You will be expected to be an expert member of the technical problem-solving and problem-avoidance team, which routinely seeks to address highly complex and critical customer issues. The Services may require customers to visit the Site from time to time.

Location: based office / remote EG (Cairo, Giza)

Work requirements:

Lead contributor, individually and as a team member, providing direction and coordination of efforts
The work is sometimes very non-routine and complex and involves the application of advanced technical/business skills in the field of specialization
– Leadership in migration projects, implementation and upgrading
Excellent technical judgment and ability to identify problems and suggest solutions
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with academic distinction
. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Technology Professionals Preferred
Experience in implementing local OCI relay projects
Previous experience with an organization that provides 24/7 support
– Ability to work on holidays or weekends when necessary especially for a project going life
Demonstrates the ability to deliver successful solutions to projects with complex business requirements
– Assist in pre-sales activities to win new projects
– Proficiency in written and spoken English
– You can work under pressure

Technical skills:

– Manage and troubleshoot Oracle E-Business Suite Application 11510, R121, R12.2 with proven troubleshooting ability
Previous experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 11510, R12.1 and R12.2 migration, implementation, and upgrade projects
Good working knowledge of Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c including debugging, upgrades, backup and restore through RMAN, Oracle Data Pump export/import and performance tuning
Technical experience working with additional Oracle technologies such as WebLogic and SSO
Troubleshooting skills for critical database, application, network and system management issues
– Performance tuning and its techniques (SGA tuning, database tuning, application server tuning)
Good understanding of Unix and Shell programming
