Manama, August 10 (BNA) The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) received a prestigious international award in recognition of its pioneering initiative to implement a comprehensive transformation plan focused on creating a greater economic impact for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Tamkeen was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Nonprofit or Governmental Organization category at the 14th annual Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards for 2022.


The Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards are the world’s leading business awards that honor achievements in various sectors around the world. The program recognizes the world’s best organizational performance, innovations, executives and management teams, relationships and marketing campaigns, creativity, partner programs, customer satisfaction programs, and more.


On this occasion, Ms. Maha Moviz, Acting CEO of the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), expressed her deep pride in this achievement and highlighted the effective role of Tamkeen’s employees in obtaining this international honor. At the beginning of this year, Tamkeen embarked on its fifth strategic cycle with a complete transformation strategy developed based on market demands. Tamkeen’s new strategy focuses on productivity and impact and is guided by the organization’s two core missions. The first revolves around making the private sector the engine of growth and sustainability in the local economy by supporting private sector institutions and developing strategic partnerships to find new and innovative solutions. The second is to empower Bahrainis to become preferred employees and key supporters of the private sector to create high-quality jobs for the local population.


To achieve this, Tamkeen’s strategic direction is designed to catalyze positive change by linking support to impactful KPIs, empowering high-potential sectors, encouraging changes in the business model, supporting innovative and economically viable concepts, and supporting the acceleration of human capital development to meet needs. market needs and emerging opportunities.


Tamkeen’s transformation has resulted in 16 specialized programs that provide personalized support to individuals and organizations designed to help them reach their highest potential.
