Manama, August 10 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal affirmed that paying attention to the sustainable development goals and harnessing constitutional and parliamentary tools for their implementation is a permanent priority. In line with the ongoing modernization process during the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and based on the ambitious plans launched by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
Parliament Speaker Zainal made these statements while receiving here today the Minister of Sustainable Development Nour bint Ali Al-Khulaif, who congratulated her on her appointment by His Majesty the King.
She praised the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry of Sustainable Development to achieve the Kingdom’s goals, stressing Parliament’s support for these endeavors.
The minister expressed his sincere thanks to the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the meeting, praising the legislative authority’s support for government departments, praising the continuous cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative authorities in a way that serves the royal vision to achieve sustainable development goals.
