Sweden’s PM resigns after election defeat

Copenhagen, September 15 (BNA) The outgoing Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson submitted her resignation to the Speaker of Parliament today, Thursday, paving the way for a change of government.

The Speaker of Parliament is now expected to give Sweden’s moderate party chief Ulf Christerson a mandate to form a new government after Sunday’s general election, which gave the right-wing bloc a majority, Reuters reports.
