Jordanian Foreign Minister to start US visit Friday

Amman, September 15 (BNA) Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Ayman Safadi will start a working visit to the United States tomorrow, Friday, where he will meet with Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken.


According to a press release published by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Safadi will sign during the visit a new memorandum of understanding on the strategic partnership between the two governments, which will define US aid to the kingdom over the next seven years. .


Safadi will also discuss, during his visit to Washington, ways to enhance strategic relations between Jordan and the United States as well as regional issues of common interest, including mainly efforts to find a political horizon to solve the Palestinian issue and achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution. He will also participate in a session hosted by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
