Sunni Endowments Chairman opens new mosque

Manama, April 9 (BNA): The head of the Sunni Endowments Council, Dr. Sheikh Rashid Al-Hajri, inaugurated the Ahmed Sabt and Lolwa Al-Wazzan Mosque in Askar in the Southern Governorate.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has ordered the renovation of 30 mosques run by the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Department across the country.

The newly opened mosque, which can accommodate 171 worshipers, includes two separate halls (musalla) for men and women, in addition to other facilities and a car park.

In a statement, Dr. Al-Hajri praised His Majesty the King’s interest in mosques, expressing his thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness, the Prime Minister, Prince of Crows, for his support and follow-up.
