Stylish Arsenal beat Villa 3-1

London, October 23 (BNA) Arsenal switched its style by winning 3-1 at home to Aston Villa in the English Premier League on Friday, extending its unbeaten run to six matches.

Reuters reported that the victory lifted Mikel Arteta’s team to ninth place with 14 points, along with Manchester United, which is sixth.

Thomas Partey headed in a corner kick to give the Gunners the lead in the 23rd minute and doubled the difference before the end of the first half as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed home after a penalty saved by former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Emile Smith Rowe made it 3-0 in the 56th minute, finishing off a good counter-attack by breaking in from the left and seeing his low shot come off the post after a slight deviation from Tyrone Mings.

Villa finished second for most of the match but withdrew the goal eight minutes from time when Jacob Ramsey fired the ball into the top corner after Leon Bailey hit the front of the penalty area.
