Speaker wraps up UAE visit

Dubai, February 4 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal and her accompanying delegation concluded their visit to the United Arab Emirates today.


The visit, which was invited by the Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash, aims to enhance joint parliamentary action, enhance bilateral cooperation, and unify efforts of parliamentary diplomacy.


During the visit, the two sides held extensive talks at the headquarters of the UAE Federal National Council in Abu Dhabi, and agreed to launch a new phase of joint parliamentary work, including joint parliamentary initiatives, unifying positions towards various issues, especially in the various Arab, regional and international parliamentary gatherings, and increasing meetings and mutual visits, And support projects aimed at achieving the development goals of the two brotherly countries.


The spokeswoman and her accompanying delegation also visited Expo 2020 Dubai, and were briefed on the pavilions of the 192 participating countries.


The delegation left Dubai today and was seen off by the President of the Federal National Council and a number of its members.


The Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to her counterpart from the UAE Federal National Council for the warm reception and hospitality she and the Bahraini parliamentary delegation received throughout their visit to the United Arab Emirates.
