Speaker supports Bahrain-Russia economic relations

Manama, June 26 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal met with a delegation of Russian businessmen.

During the meeting, bilateral relations were discussed, and aspects of economic, commercial and parliamentary cooperation were highlighted.

Zainal praised the Bahraini-Russian relations led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

She stressed the importance of cooperation in various fields.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the cooperation between the Bahraini Businesswomen’s Association headed by Ahlam Janahi and businesswomen in Russia to serve common interests.

Zainal highlighted the bilateral trade relations in the commercial, industrial, investment and energy sectors.

The Russian delegation praised Bahrain’s economic status at the international level as a strategic financial center.
