Manama, July 16 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia hosted the summit, which was attended by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the King of Jordan, the Egyptian president, the Iraqi prime minister and the president of the United States.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the keynote speech, which she said reflects the vision of His Majesty the King, which emphasizes the importance of building partnerships to face challenges and highlights the political, security and economic difficulties in the Middle East.
She stressed the importance of the speech that called for cooperation to achieve security, stability and prosperity in the region and to address major issues, especially the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the basis of the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative, in addition to reaching a peaceful settlement in Yemen.
