Manama, May 24 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam congratulated Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, firmly believes in the importance of the role of the Cooperation Council and its continuous contributions for the benefit of the GCC countries and peoples.
He affirmed the parliament’s keenness to enhance joint Gulf action, as one of the parliament’s priorities, to achieve the goals of the Cooperation Council by advancing more progress, security and stability in the region.
The President praised the efforts of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, wishing you the best happiness for their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries, and more progress and prosperity for their peoples.
