Speaker lauds Housing Ministry’s efforts

Manama, September 21 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Housing to build cities and implement housing projects in various governorates of the Kingdom.

These efforts have contributed to providing thousands of housing units and services to citizens, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the distinguished efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. Prime Minister, she said.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives made the statements during his meeting here today with Housing Minister Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, during which she discussed issues related to the Ministry of Housing’s plans to meet the current and future needs and demands of citizens.

She highly valued the efforts made by the Ministry of Housing to improve housing services, stressing the parliament’s keenness on continuous cooperation and coordination with the Ministry in order to meet the needs of citizens and provide them with distinguished services.

She also discussed with the Minister ways to meet the needs of citizens throughout the Kingdom, especially from the Fifth District of the Southern Governorate, expressing her thanks and appreciation to Al-Hamr for his keenness to provide adequate social housing for citizens.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed the House of Representatives’ continuous support for the efforts of the Ministry of Housing in providing adequate housing for citizens, pointing to the Representatives’ keenness to follow up the progress of housing projects and complete their infrastructure.
