Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): Speaker of the Parliament, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, sent a cable of congratulations to the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al-Ma’awali, on the occasion of his country’s National Day.
A similar telegram was sent to the President of the State Council, Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili.
Zainal wished the Sultanate and the Omani people continued progress and prosperity.
She affirmed the strength of bilateral parliamentary relations and the Parliament’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Omani Shura Council and the State Council.
The Speaker of Parliament praised the deep historical Bahraini-Omani relations thanks to the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, King of Oman.
Zainal sent another telegram to Oman’s ambassador to Bahrain, Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi,
