Speaker chairs Arab parliamentary meeting

Madrid, November 25 (BNA) The House of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, chaired the meeting of the Arab Geopolitical Group in Madrid, Spain.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the 143rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The meeting was attended by the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco and heads of the Gulf and Arab parliamentary delegations.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed keenness to build strategic relations with the parliaments of brotherly and friendly countries in line with the approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She confirmed the continuation of the campaign to highlight Bahrain’s achievements in all fields, and highlighted the fruitful cooperation with the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed the continuation of coordination between Arab parliaments, stressing keenness to highlight the role of legislative councils in strengthening Arab ties.
