Cairo, February 17 (BNA) The Speaker of the House of Representatives and Head of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary delegation, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, affirmed that in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain is committed to its firm approach based on cooperation and solidarity within the framework of its efforts to promote human brotherhood.

She pointed out that the Kingdom believes that the Arab nation’s strongest weapon in the face of all foreign efforts to target its capabilities and interests is adopting unified positions towards its crucial issues.

She stressed that there is an urgent need for Arab parliaments to work to deepen the spirit of one team, develop joint Arab solidarity, and support cooperation among Arab countries to face the unprecedented challenges and dangers facing the Arab nation, which requires confronting them by adopting a unified approach. common policies.

She stressed that what unites the Arab peoples is greater than what divides them, calling on Arab parliaments to strengthen their role in promoting Arab unity and solidarity.

In his speech before the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union currently under the title “Arab Solidarity”, House Speaker Zainal stressed the importance of expanding the scope of Arab solidarity in light of the critical developments witnessed by many brotherly Arab countries with regard to it. Security, stability and unity, in addition to development challenges.

In this regard, she said that the solidarity of Arab parliaments can contribute positively to maintaining security and stability, as well as protecting the internal unity in Iraq, Sudan, Libya and Syria, in addition to supporting brotherly Egypt and Sudan to preserve their full waters. rights.

She added that the Palestinian issue remains the central issue of the Arab nation, stressing the firm position on the right of the Palestinian people to restore their rights and establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, which will contribute to strengthening the pillars of comprehensive peace. In the region, based on the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

House Speaker Zainal stressed the need to deepen the spirit of Arab cooperation and solidarity, and to stand united in the face of the Houthi terrorist militia’s practices that aim to destabilize Arab security, citing the Houthis’ repeated terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which led to many victims and wounded, as well as the destruction of facilities. and property, which requires the entire Arab nation to reaffirm solidarity with the two brotherly countries, and to support all measures they deem necessary to preserve their security, stability and territory. integrity.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives called on the Arab Representatives to explicitly condemn Iran’s blatant interference in the internal affairs of a number of Arab countries, and its repeated attempts to sabotage the security and stability of the region by forming militias and providing them with funding and weapons, within the framework of the Iranian regime’s expansionist policies that endanger regional and global security and peace, in violation of United Nations conventions and laws.

Parliament Speaker Fawzia Zainal highlighted the importance of strengthening the role of the Arab Parliamentary Union in line with the distinguished position and rich history of the Arab nation and in a manner that serves the interests of the Arab peoples.
