The Amazon MEA Payments Tech team is responsible for creating great payment products and experiences using different technologies to solve complex problems related to distributed systems, scalable architecture, machine learning, and algorithms.

Your broad responsibilities will include: having the technical involvement and ultimate success on specific implementation projects, working across organizations to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the payments platform.
The ideal candidate will possess customer-facing skills, lead discussions with senior staff regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation, and have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business.
The Solution Architect collaborates with the technical teams of the APS Merchant and Solution Provider to integrate the APS Payments product line into websites and back office systems.
You must be an effective communicator and quick to learn new tools and systems. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who feels comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

responsibilities

Act as a product consultant/expert by learning how our products work, both from a technical implementation standpoint and from a business process standpoint, and then leveraging this knowledge to help merchants and solution providers complete their integrations in a timely and high-quality manner.
Act as a key technical member of the business development team to help ensure customers are successful in building applications and services on the payments platform.
Engage with managed merchants and solution providers via phone, email and web to support integrations
Review integrations to ensure standards of quality and completeness are maintained
Ensure on-time launches by managing integration efforts according to a standard or customized project plan.
· Write, edit and/or review customer encounter aids (manuals, templates, webinars) in integration efforts.
Identify areas of potential customer dissatisfaction with the policy/process for Amazon Payments Integration Materials and work with the relevant team(s) to improve the merchant experience.

Basic qualifications

More than 5 years of experience managing complex technology projects
Experience with agile development methodologies (eg Scrum, XP, etc.)
Experience in delivering projects for large, multi-functional projects
Experience in object-oriented development and design (preferably in both client and server development solutions)
Experience and proficiency with web technologies and tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skill.
Passion for making data-driven decisions.

qualifications preferred

Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to make practical decisions
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Experience in non-technical aspects including idea generation, business analysis and process improvement.
Arabic language skills (Preferred)
· Excellent planning, organizing, communication and time management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment, must be a novice and enthusiastic about technology.
