We are looking for Software Development Engineers to be based in Amman, Jordan with over 3 years of solid software engineering experience involving complex problem solving, to work on some of the key initiatives planned to support our rapid development and growth of Amazon’s international expansion business. And in the meantime, we solve some of the toughest problems.

Basic qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplines
3+ years of industry experience in software engineering design and operating scalable software systems
Requirements analysis, failure analysis, API design, distributed consistency
Metrics, analysis and software profiling
Strong object-oriented design skills with an understanding of common design paradigms
Experience with Java or other object-oriented languages
Experience with distributed (multi-level) systems, algorithms and relational databases
Experience in system and system unit level tests using dependency injection frameworks and object mockery
Oral and written communication skills (ability to produce operating manuals and technical and non-technical documents)
Experience in training junior software development engineers including code review and design review

qualifications preferred

Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java on UNIX or Linux preferred).
Ability to effectively formulate and drive solutions to meet technical and commercial challenges.
– deal well with ambiguous / unspecified problems; The ability to think abstractly.
Experience working with product vision leadership to deliver long-term value to clients and advertisers.
Willingness to own all phases of the development process: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operational support.
Excellent personal communication with strong verbal/writing skills.
