Shura Council wins Digital Government Award for Arab States 2023

Dubai, May 8 (BNA): The General Secretariat of the Shura Council won the Digital Government Award for Arab Countries 2023, organized by the International Excellence Foundation (IEF), based in Florida, in the category of remote government work.


The award ceremony was held in its eighteenth session in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of various government agencies from the Arab region.


The award was received by Abeer Abdullah Al-Obaidly, Director of Information Technology and Communications Department.


The categories include remote government work, government achievements, government innovation, government websites, apps, social media accounts, social responsibility, and government digital content.


The Shura Council achieved this achievement through the use of the latest administrative and technical methods, and modern technology, under the guidance of Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, and the follow-up of Karima Muhammad Al-Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council. Consultative Council.


Al Abbasi said that the achievement came as a result of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to develop the legislative system, followed by the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


The Shura Council has met all ten criteria for the award, which requires evidence and documents confirming that the institution believes in the principles followed in remote work, which includes amending its rules and regulations in accordance with that.
