Shura Chairman receives Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh praised the strong historical relations between Bahrain and India, pointing to the continuous cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries in various fields.

He was speaking at a meeting today with the President of India, Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, which was held on the sidelines of his participation in the 146th session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which Bahrain is hosting from March 11 to March 11. 15.

The Indian Lok Sabha spokesman expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its successful hosting of the meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, stressing the Kingdom’s advanced position on the world map due to its active and dedicated efforts to promote peace, tolerance and coexistence in all parts of the world.

The meeting was attended by the second deputy speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al-Fadhel, and the Secretary-General, Karima Muhammad Al-Abbasi.
