Manama Gold Festival to kick off April 13

Manama, April 2 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced that preparations are under way for the second edition of the Manama Gold Festival 2023.

The festival will take place from April 13 to May 27, with the participation of more than 300 gold shops in the Manama market.

The Manama Golden Festival aims to promote the Manama market as a desirable tourist destination through regional publicity for the event and attract more visitors and tourists. This chapter highlights the kingdom’s long history of gold industry from the Manama market, as well as the fact that Bahrain was the first in the region to set clear regulations for the gold industry, regulate production, and adopt export practices.

The festival’s activities will include weekly, instant and major prizes, as well as media and art installations on the history of Bahraini gold by Bahraini artists and designers, hanging ceremonial items among gold shops, organizing a gold museum, a pop-up market, and live. Musical performances.

He added, “The second edition of this festival comes based on the success of the first edition, which had positive statistics in terms of numbers of shoppers and sales in 2022. We intend to double the number of shoppers and gold purchases, especially from the GCC countries.”
